Joy is a command from God

Joy is not just a suggestion, it’s a command from God (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18). In our Coptic Orthodox Church, we believe that joy is a gift from God and a fruit of the Holy Spirit. Worship and service are essential in cultivating joy, and it’s closely linked to salvation. Joy transcends our circumstances and fills our hearts with gratitude and praise.
