Section 1. Statement of Purpose
The primary goal of the diocese-wide Mahragan is to offer children and young people an opportunity to understand the vast and profound love of Christ. This is achieved through a variety of activities, including biblical, spiritual, Coptic, hymn, and sports competitions among various churches. Furthermore, we aim to cultivate a sense of ethics and social responsibility in our youth.
We recognize that trust plays a vital role in the learning process, and self-discipline is essential for success. With these principles in mind, we have established the following Honor Code.
Honor Pledge
I pledge to uphold truthfulness, honor, and responsibility. I am committed to fostering good character and maintaining the highest standards of Christian integrity as an essential aspect of being a child of God and participating in the Mahragan.
As a child of Christ and a participant in the Mahragan, I solemnly promise that I have neither given nor received unauthorized assistance on this work, nor have I witnessed any other participant violating the honor code.
Code of Conduct
The goal of Mahragan is to glorify God’s Name and to foster Christian fellowship, unity, and positive relationships within His Church.
In order to preserve this spirit and ensure that Mahragan remains a safe, respectful, and Christ-centered environment, the following rules are strictly enforced, with no exceptions or negotiations:
Zero tolerance for foul or inappropriate language. Zero tolerance for physical fighting or violence.
Any violation of either of these rules will result in immediate expulsion from the entire Mahragan competition. There will be no warnings, exceptions, or appeals. Let us remember that while competition is part of Mahragan, our ultimate goal is to glorify God, honor one another, and build His Church together.
